Geocache Description:

The cache IS NOT AT THE ABOVE COORDINATES but you could park there.
Very young geokids might want to give this cache a miss, as the trail includes steep banks, slippy sections and maybe a little bushwacking .

To start your walk on the wild side, go to the trailhead which is N53 18.559 W003 16.170. It is advisable to wear old geoclothing and sturdy boots.

Heading N/E straight down into the woods (known localy as the Llety woods due to the stream being called the Llety), you cross a short wooden bridge over the stream (the stream is now on your right). Follow the stream down and you will pass a stile up a bank on your left.
You will pass a large bridge with steel handrails on your right, keep going on the path up. Here you will notice a square hole (fenced off) this was once a mineshaft, where coal was mined underground here.
The path to the left goes out of the woods here, but you want to bear right (behind the post with the light on) on the high path. This is not a well used footpath, as you will find out (the stream is still on your right).
Follow this path, you might have to do a little hollybush wacking (as the summer growth starts), now you gradually start going down towards the stream. You pass the corner of a field on your left and a LARGE uprooted tree. The path now slopes at an angle of 45 degrees so take care, and starts heading towards the stream again (which is still on your right).
You will come to a section where there are logs across the stream, at this point look out for the LARGE fallen tree trunks up the steep bank. You have to scramble up the bank where you will see a funny bent-over shaped tree. Your goal is under this tree near the fence line.
Did you notice the grid This is where the stream diverts down and go'es under ground beneath Llety hotel and comes out the otherside of the main road.

Return the way you came and when you get back to the bridge with the steel handrails, cross it (note the mounting blocks). You now head back up the woods with the stream on your right once more. With a bit of luck you should come out where our Village Vexation cache is, next to your car.
We hope you enjoyed your little adventure in the woods.

Marzipan's - Top Tip,
Wear your old caching cloths.

This cache is a walk in the park compared to scottpa100 excellent cache The Lost Valley - An ancient poem leads the way which is a real challenge and adventure. I full recommend it - it is a caching experience you will NEVER forget.
