BE VERY CAREFUL IN THIS PARK, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN WITH
YOU!! THERE ARE CLIFFS AND TREACHEROUS TERRAIN!! PLEASE BE
CAREFUL!!
This cache is in Nelson-Kennedy State Park, or, as I've always
known it, Nelson Ledges. Parking is at N41 19.724 W081 02.340 The
posted coordinate is for the first metal tag. It's gold in color
and about an inch and a half square. On this tag there are two sets
of three numbers stamped. These are your new coordinates - insert
these numbers after the decimal point in the coordinates that took
you where you are. Replace 790 with the top number and replace 456
with the lower number. This will lead you to another metal tag. Do
the same thing with these numbers. This new coordinate is the cache
location. The container is a square snack container, maybe 8" on a
side, with a screw-on lid.The trails with the colored blazes are
the official park trails. Red is challenging (try it! but don't get
stuck!) Blue and yellow are moderate, and white is easy. There are
many other trails, but be aware that not all of these are safe,
especially with children along. If you come to something you're not
100% comfortable with, turn around and seek another way. The
moderate trails are the most challenging you need to be on, but
they may not be the fastest way to the cache. They won't have you
jumping over chasms, however. This park is very popular, so be
discreet. Also, feel free to CITO. Original contents: stackable
bubbles, a bug viewer, a candle, emergency water, pencils, space
cards, a couple maps of the park, and a log book.I rated the
difficulty as I did because there are places where reception will
be poor (you'll understand when you get there). I rated the terrain
for the moderate trails. You can easily make the terrain much
harder. Think safety! If the first few finders think either rating
needs to be adjusted, let me know.
6/28/06 - I updated this cache due to the original hiding place
succumbing to the forces of nature. It's now a four-stage cache.
I've updated the metal tags. Satellite reception in this park
remains a little 'iffy.'

October 24, 2009 by ShadowWalker02 (131 found) Wow what fun we had today. What an awsome park. Out with RenegadeJones, Roo28 & Team Mombell. This one was a challange. The cords were on and we were many feet above. Try again down and around for the first metal tag. On and on we went Red trail, White trail and Blue trail, mixed and shared them all. Saw a lot, it was worth it. By the time Take a seat, YES WE DID. Thank You Ed S. TNLNSL.
