The 18th Annual KC Area Geocacher's Picnic
When: Saturday September 8th, 2018
Where: Macken Park - Festival Shelter - North Kansas City, MO
Time: 3:30 PM to 8:00 PM
Come join us for our 18th picnic year! While planning the picnic this year we realized we didn't have pictures of all our caching friends and families, so we're putting together a "PHOTO BOOTH". It's going to be great fun, so put on your best geocaching attire and get ready to smile! We'll make the photos available for viewing and downloading on a link after the event.
Our picnic meal this year will be BBQ! We'll be providing a couple of different types of meats, buns for sandwiches and a few sides, at no cost to you. Exception of course: Everyone "LOVED" the homegrown tomatoes and watermelon contributions from last year, so if anyone would like to help us out by bringing some again this year we would appreciate it (Please have them all sliced and cut up if possible).
If you want to bring any extra sides, just bring enough for your own group. Other then the tomatoes and watermelon we’re not setting up tables for any extra items. Also, if you have dietary restrictions and want something other then BBQ, you're on your own this year, unless you can fill up on sides.

- 3:30pm to 6:30pm - Trackable Table is open
- 3:30pm to 5:00pm - 'Survey Says' how acccurate is your GPS?
- 3:30pm to 6:30pm - Kid's Caches are available…Kid's Piñata around 3:45pm
- 4:00pm - Balloon Toss
- 4:30pm - 4:45pm - Group Photo
- 5:00pm to 6:30pm - Picnic Meal
- 6:30pm - Winner Announcements
In addition to posting your "Will Attend", please register for the picnic here so we know how many folks we'll have dining with us and it will give us a more accurate count for the ice breaker activity. You can also order your "Lights, Camera, Action" picnic t-shirt at the same link. All t-shirt orders must be submitted by August 23rd.

Attendance to this event is free for everyone, so in order to offset picnic costs, donations are welcomed. Any cache related items (quilts, coins, trackables, baskets, books, GPSr's, etc.) will be raffled off. Contact a committee member if you'd like to donate anything in advance. As always, we thank you for your generosity.
