September 27 by kumbaric (213 found) Found a tiny corner to write initals, but yes, it could use a new log.
[view this log] | August 31 by catchapig (1981 found) Log is totally full; NO more room! Needs replacing! Thanks.
[view this log] | August 30 by catchapig (1981 found) We like this type of hide; it's so sly! Not watertight, tho, so log is in poor shape and very full. We had to write over someone else's faded spot as there was no other room. TFTC!!
[view this log] | August 4 by threshergirl (1731 found) Walked right up to it. Funny how sometimes things just click and other times the cache can be right there. TFTC
[view this log] | June 28 by TerryDad2 (1126 found) It turned out well as I spent the entire morning going around the area getting coordinates for additional EarthCaches. This is the area I did a presentation on how to set up EarthCaches and provided the field guide to the area. A couple of years later, only 2 have been set up. Now it is my turn.I wasn't really planning to find this one as it is right on the road and doesn't requre any climbing, not really my preferred style, but as I was getting coordinates for an EarthCache near the cache, I got it. Great container, though the log is getting a little rusty. As I was parking, a good natured ranger asked if I had an adventure pass. I didn't and figured, as in the past, the fine would be the cost of the pass. Not any more, It is a $780 fine to park in the National Forest without an adventure pass . I could run a red light for less than that . So I had to head back down to Castaic and pick one up and come back. With the help of some other cachers, none of us can find anything to back up the fine amount the ranger quoted. I think I got duped.
