Geocache Description:

NIGHT TIME CACHE
Try this in the daylight and the difficulty level goes to 5!

On a night tour of a national park we were shown how to spot nocturnal animals by holding the torch close to our eyes.

This illuminates the pigment on the retina of the animal's eyes giving a bright reflection visible only to the torch holder.

At the given coordinates, go through the small gate and look for the night's eyes. These are the first and most obvious of the eyes you need to find tonight.

Stay to the trails. Use the eyes to make your decisions. When the eyes turn red you are getting close. When they turn white, you have found the lair.

You'll need good footwear, a good torch (LED keychains are good for putting in the cache but not for finding it!) and a dose of care. The lair is well hidden at the end of a short (2m) rise from the trail. Please replace bark and litter after your climb so it doesn't become too obvious.

Total walk is about 1.2km return.

And remember when you tell those little white lies that the night has a thousand eyes!
