What The ??? Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

tiddalik: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us, and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located in Wilson’s Botanic Park, in Melbourne's South East. Once a bluestone quarry, the park has undergone much development, (& continues to do so), into a lovely area for walking, bird-watching, botanical studies, & of course placing a cache or two. The park has public toilets, & a playground for those with young kiddies. The park is open: 7am–5pm (7am–8pm daylight savings hours) closing Christmas day & Good Friday. For more information visit: www.wbp.com.au

At the first location you will find a large Pine tree. At the base of the tree, towards its rear, you will find a large 20 Litre bucket, which is BURIED & COMPLETELY COVERED in pine needles, with a ROCK PLACED ON TOP. DO NOT MOVE or REMOVE THIS BUCKET. After lifting the rock, and taking off the lid, you will find inside the bucket there is a “Device”. Carefully remove the “Device”, & TAKE IT AWAY from this location to the Nearby seat provided. Once at the seat, you may begin utilizing the “Device”.

The “Device” has 6 alternate sets of Co-ordinates. Using the “Device” properly (it’s fun & quite easy), will give you the correct Co-ordinates to the Final cache location. The Final cache container is 1 1/2 Litres in size. Remember to trade fairly.

PLEASE NOTE:
1) Many people enjoy this park. Please take EXTRA CARE to be DISCREET, when removing & replacing the “device”, & MAKE SURE the bucket at this first location is COMPLETELY COVERED WITH PINE NEEDLES, & THE ROCK PLACED ON TOP, BEFORE leaving for the final location.
2) About 200metres away there is a bird hide, wherein a snake was once spotted. Always beware of snakes & spiders.
3) Please don’t describe the “Device” when logging your find.
4) DO NOT Attempt this cache outside park opening hours.

If you are lucky, you may see turtles basking on the rocks in the lake (near the first location), in the middle of the day. This is Team Chookies 11th cache. We hope you have lots of fun!
