Let’s celebrate the last month of winter by picking up rubbish in a cold muddy gully!
Date: Sunday 2nd August 2015
Time: 10 am until 11.30 am
Where: Meet at the Reserve entry in west Cockerell St, Brockville (the grassy area between 121 - 125 Cockerell St).
Most of us can clean up the gully circled in the photo below.
An easier option for a few people will be to wander along the track bordering the reserve picking up rubbish beside the mown area.
Who: All geocachers and friends are welcome.
New cachers are especially welcome- you can log a "Will Attend" note to tell us you're coming, or just turn up! It's a great opportunity to make new friends, help keep Dunedin beautiful and also earn a smiley.
Housekeeping: The access and CITO gully are reasonably steep. It will be cold, muddy and slippery under the trees. Boots or gumboots would be the best footwear.
Bring heavy gardening gloves if you have them – there is some heavy hauling of tyres etc to be done.
Rubbish bags, light gloves and rubbish pickup are provided courtesy of Keep Dunedin Beautiful.
Alternative CITO method: Is Terrain 3.5 steep and slippery CITO a bit much to cope with?
No worries, you can also participate by collecting a decent bag of rubbish from some other street or reserve area and delivering it to the collection site on Sunday morning.
Hang around for a few minutes to chat and tell us how well we’re doing!
***Please say in your “Will Attend” log if you will be doing the T1 CITO option.***
