Rolling Rock Cache Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

ncflyers: Unfortunately, landslides and erosion have taken their toll on this area. Heavy rains have really torn this cliff area to pieces. It has become dangerous and we both feel this cache needs to be archived. Geocaching isn't much fun if you get the cache and then collapse down a very high cliff to the sea. For the safety of all, this Geocache is closed. This was our very first hide and it lasted the longest. It is tough to close it.

Geocache Description:

Rolling Rock Cache overlooks the Pacific Ocean at an altitude of 282 feet. Short walk from an unpaved vista point.

The cache contains pet rocks that are waiting to be adopted and transported to the next cache you may travel to. A log accompanies each rock so that it's journey may be documented. When you adopt a pet rock, please note that fact when you make your log entry. Once you have abandoned the adopted rock at a different cache, please return to this webpage and log your visit using the "other" choice, explaining where you cached the rock or rocks. We request you only take one pet rock and one logbook. They are in individual sealed plastic bags. There is also some play money with the name of the cache and the coordinates typed on them. Please only take one as a souvenir. The cache also contains a First Place Medal for the first finder of this cache. Take it and enjoy it. Feel free to leave something else in the cache for the next geocacher. The container is clear plastic with a blue plastic waterproof lid. It is 7 1/2 inches square at the lid. It is at the base of a tree.
