Geocache Description:

Regular lock lock box containing swaps and log book.

Cricklade has many walks to be found around it, but most people tend to head to the North, East and West of Cricklade, due to the Thames path and beautiful Meadows to be found. This Series of caches are laid out to the South Of Cricklade on Bridleways and a Cycle Route along a disused railway. The Series is made of a variety of caches.
Parts of the Series are placed along a well used Cycle route that is usually quite busy with Dog walkers, whilst other parts of the Series are placed on Bridleways that carry much less traffic. I have yet to meet others along the wilder Bridleways and the solitude is only broken by the Traffic noise whilst you are near the A419 Road.

Care should be taken with children and dogs should be kept on leads whilst you are near the A419 road, although you do not need to cross this road you will at one point be fairly close and the traffic travels extremely quickly. There is an area of woodland near the river Ray that you can explore but please observe signs that state all dogs must be kept on a lead if you leave the Bridleway as the area is used to breed Game birds.

This Series is sort of suitable for Cyclists as there are no stiles to negotiate but the going is fairly muddy in places. Due to this I advise the use of suitable footwear, wellies or walking boots and would advise that you don't take children on bicycles due to the mud.

I strongly advise the use of a map or some other navigational aids to help you follow some of the rights of way, as although they are bridleways they are not heavily used or clearly signed in a few places.

Suggested Parking for the Series is at:
