Geocache Description:

Take a walking tour of Haunted Fairhaven...

The Fairhaven Public Library was built in 1904, originally as an alternate place for men to spend their evenings instead of a saloon. The building's main floor is a busy and active place for community residents and the second floor has a large and pleasant meeting room, but only a few brave souls have seen the dark padlocked basement.



The access to the basement may remind you of a crypt. The cache is in the only possible hiding spot -- just make sure you don't get too close to that old door. The original librarian, Edith Carhart, is waiting just inside to check you out....
