Geocache Description:

The cache is located just above a small high alpine lake. Although the hike in to this cache is only about 2 miles, it does entail a 1300 foot elevation gain along a fairly rough trail. Keep in mind that this area is underneath snow for much of the year, so check local conditions and plan accordingly before going after this one. The first of the three lakes here (Baker Lake) is home to an abundance of cutthroat trout, so bring your fishing gear, if you are so inclined.

From Highway 93, take the West Fork Road (approximately 4.4 miles South of Darby) to the turnoff for Baker Lake. The gravel road is narrow, rough in places, and gains a considerable amount of elevation as it climbs the flank of the mountain via switchbacks. (Watch out for oncoming traffic, as Wild Isuzus have been sighted on this road) There is very limited parking at the trailhead, so keep that in mind if you decide to take the Winnebago.

Cache is a 50mm ammo can containing the usual logbook and various booty nuggets.
