Travel south on highway 550 out of Bloomfield NM. Travel almost to Lybrook NM. and turn left at N36 14.086 W107 35.065. From the turn stay to the left and on the main dirt road, it is approx 8 miles up to Blue Mesa. Let your GPS be your guide. This road is a typical oil field road and can get pretty tuff in wet conditions so a 4X4 is needed. It would also be advised to take a high clearance vehicle in dry conditions. Be aware of oil field traffic.
In a far away land(far from civilization) that I used to work in. A land that never lets me go without an adventure. I see Elk and Deer almost everytime I go out here. Upon entering this area there are many many nice PEACEFUL views to find and look at. The cache is a medium sized ammo box that contains a log book, camera to take your picture, and many trading items.

Muy Bueno! Wanted to visit this one for some time now.
Fantastic area!!! Room for hundreds of quality caches.
Roads dry today after snow/rain two day ago.
I have not seen so many deer tracks anywhere in NM.

We were in the area visiting nearby ruins and had to go for this cache. The cache site really has great views of the area. But the summer rains added to the cache difficulty. After an extended search of all the likely hiding spots in the area, we went back to GZ and finally uncovered it. Good thing the coordinates were right on! T- Coin, beads & screwdriver, L- Jasper balloon keychain, frog & polished rocks, TFTC.
