West View on a frigid January afternoon
Bring the geo-pups (on their leashes), or take your mountain
bike, or your horse. Trails can be muddy and most are multiple use,
which means a plentiful supply of horse manure.
The entrance and parking are at N 47 51.684 W 122 03.501. Look
for the signs for the turn off onto 127th Ave SE from the Old
Monroe-Snohomish Highway. For more complete directions, visit the
county website.
For more information about the park, visit the Friends of Lord Hill
website. You may want to print out a copy of their trail map
although copies are usually available at the trailhead. The hike to
the cache is roughly a 3 1/2 mile roundtrip. And there are now six
caches within the park, so explore!.
