Some time ago, by the morning, D. Quijote and Sancho
Panza were chatting.
- My dear Sancho Panza, we must
accomplish our mission, today, at north. There are some giants who
are always watching what we do from their towers up on the hills
and is our duty to fight them.
- Yes, D. Quijote, as usual I'll go with you in this mission.
However, I still don't understand why you can't see that those
giants are only three windmills. But if you want to fight them,
I'll go with you once again.
- Not at all, my dear fellow. I've counted eight giants and all of
them with great armory. It is our duty to fight them and the goal
of our mission to conquer them all. None of them will be up after
the fight.
- D. Quijote, I'd like to remind you our last mission fighting
those five sheep. We were attacked by seven dogs that let us down,
remember?
- Yes, of course I can remember that sad fight, which was the worst
we've ever had. But the blame was the difference in strength of our
troops. They had nine armys and seven chevalery troops, and we
could count only three of us, me, you and our brave
horse.
A few days later:
- I told you we could never conquer those
giants
- We were weaker than them, my dear Sancho. They had those troops
that came from west and they were much bigger than our little nine
soldiers. I'm sure that if we had one more soldier we could win
easily.
- That was exactly the same that happened when you wanted to fight
those four giants, the same that I told you they were only
windmills.
- My dear Sancho, now I want to win those soldiers down there. I
can see not less than six troops.
- Those troops are knights that go on their way to the
village.
- Yes, it is as you say, and I fear for my dear Dulcinea. They are
on their way to attack her and I'll go at once to help her. Will
you go with me, my dear friend?
- I've always been with you in these four years of your
adventures.
- Yes, I know. I can foresee that my adventures are next to finish.
I can see that in three months, at most, I'll finish all my
adventures and offer all I have so I can, at last, be with my
beloved Dulcinea.
- And I, as always, will be with you till the end of my
life. |
