Standard cache placed in a wooded area in the Oyster Point area of Newport News
This cache is placed along its namesake road and is centrally located to our dentist, eye care professionals, and pediatricians. Needless to say, Rock Landing Rd. sees us quite regularly.
This is a typical cache hide and shouldn't be too tough to find. If things work out well, you might even see the herd of deer I saw when scouting this site out.
Parking is available nearby. The closest parking is a pad at a pumping station, but there is parking across the street if this spot is occupied.
NOTE: I investigated a report of parking that is closer to the cache than the pumping station, and I found that it is a parking lot attached to a business that has posted PRIVATE PROPERTY - NO TRESPASSING at its entrances on Bluecrab and Middle Ground Roads. Please avoid parking in their lot. Besides, the cache really isn't that far away at the suggested parking areas.
