Geocache Description:

This is the fourteenth in a series called "Cache to Eagle" which highlight Eagle Service Projects by the Boy Scouts of Marin Council. This container is larger than a film can and smaller than a tupperware. It should be just hangin around. Replace it just as you found it. Earn the Cache to Eagle patch! See www.geoscouting.com to learn how.

This project benefited The City of San Rafael. A Boy Scout from Troop 84 arranged volunteers to remove litter and large debris along the Mahon Creek trail and from the creek. They also remove some of the non-native vegitation from the creek shoreline. This project helped beautify this fairly recent pathway along Mahon Creek. As you can probably see, this area becomes trashy quite quickly. So bring along a trash bag and do a little CITO while in the area. Scouting provides a tremendous number of service hours to the community. If you took the total hours of community service conducted by the Marin Council in one year and assigned that to a single individual working 40 hours a week…how long would it take them to accomplish the same amount of service? Answer: 18.95 years!
