Capture the Flag
X
Capture the Flag is a fun game being played between the cachers in
the Oklahoma City area and the Tulsa area. This cache is the tenth
in the series. The object now is for an Oklahoma City area cacher
to find this cache, capture the flag and re-hide it in a new cache
in Oklahoma county. Anyone can visit and claim this cache, but the
flag should only be taken by a cacher from the Oklahoma City area,
willing to play by the rules set by
Darkmoon in the original
Capture The Flag I cache. Here's all the other caches in this
series:
This cache is an ammo can done up in an awesome
Darkmoon stealth camo paint job. I've hidden this cache in a
location that has a great view of the Arkansas River. The cache
container is not real hard to find, but getting to it might be a
little challenging. Please do not park off the side of Highway 412
(aka Highway 64). Parking is not allowed here and is dangerous. You
should park on Wekiwa Rd. which runs directly South of the highway.
There is a paved parking area on the side of the road and you are
closer to the cache from here. If you are coming from the West, you
can exit the highway at 177th W. Ave. to reach Wekiwa Rd. If you
are coming from the East, you should exit at 129th W. Ave. to reach
Wekiwa Rd. There is a camera in the cache container, so please take
your picture when you visit, but leave the camera in the
cache.
Good Luck!

November 27, 2009 by mwood130 (17 found) This one was a challenge I have been up and down this hill many times fighting fire. Left a marble signed the log.

November 27, 2009 by BlurplexOK (1893 found) Marvelous and I had no idea what we were getting into on this Cache. I felt like I needed to be part Goat going for the SMiley. Interesting hide to say the least.

September 20, 2009 by ZettaWolf (199 found) This is a tough climb! My iPhone was bouncing around too much for me to get a good fix on GZ, so I basically had to climb up until I was sure I was past the cache, then come down in a zigzag pattern. I was really dreading the idea of having made the trek up to come away empty-handed, but resolved to search coming down and give up for the day if my zigzag didn't turn it up. I was by myself, and didn't want to get injured without backup. Fortunately, I spotted the cache on the way down—I don't think I've ever been so relieved to find one! As infrequently as this cache is visited, I was surprised to see that someone else had been here earlier that morning. The view from the hill was very good, and I came across several interesting stone formations. Thanks for the cache!

September 20, 2009 by Team Tendy (973 found) Favorite cache of our weekend Keystone getaway. Coords were right on. Always have a goal on these, don't break any electronics on the way up and don't break me on the way down. Went 2 for 2 on those goals. Thanks for the cache and the awesome view!

September 15, 2009 by M 5 (559 found) Got it!!! Coord where a little off for me, but luckily I was sucking wind and taking a break, and saw it not far off. Going up was hard. Down was a lot harder for me. I hate gravity. Thanks for the challenging cache!!!!!
