Geocache Description:

Hiawatha Seaway-Northern Lights-Cache to Eagle 06

This is the sixth of a series of twelve public geocache's called “Cache to Eagle” that highlights Boy Scout of America Eagle Service Projects of the Hiawatha Seaway Council Northern Lights District. This is an easy roadside cache and dash.

This is a small cache. Please bring your own pen or pencil to sign the log.

Norwood, NY

This Eagle Project is by a Scout from Troop 40 in Norwood, NY. The project included designing, getting the materials for and construction of the signs at either end of town. You will need to be extremely careful of muggles since the cache is along the roadside.

For more information on the requirements for Eagle Scout please visit eaglescout.org.

What is Cache to Eagle? Cache to Eagle is a series of 12 public geocache's hidden at or near the sites of Boy Scout Eagle projects.

Each cache location has a clue in addition to the normal cache contents – each clue is a point of the Boy Scout Law. When a person finds all 12 Cache to Eagle project clues (they are in random order) they will earn a special patch. Click here for the registration form.

Notice: All 12 caches are now available.

At the northern end of the Hiawatha Seaway Council is the Northern Lights District.  It encompasses all of St. Lawrence County and at 2,880 square miles is the largest district in the council and quite possibly the largest in the state.

For more information about Scouting in St. Lawrence County please contact David R. Flight, Northern Lights District Paraprofessional at dflight@bsamail.org .
