Heritage Park Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Nomex: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

Heritage Park is finally open to the public!

9/21/07 update: New playground opened today, amidst much fanfare. The old cache location no longer exists, so I moved it. Posted coordinates are correct. Enjoy!

7/22/07 update: Switched back to magnetic key holder. Hint updated yet again.

5/24/07 update: I went out and checked it, and it was still there but in a slightly different spot, but still a good one! My old hint was no longer valid so I changed it. Container is still a key holder, but it is no longer magnetic! Hint has been updated, should now be an easy find.

This new local park has been fenced off while construction was completed. Today I noticed that the fences were gone, so I decided to put a cache in.

My gps was bouncing around some; please note if your coordinates differ. There aren't too many places to put a cache, let's see how long this lasts.

2/27/05: As noted in some logs, this park is still pretty empty. Someday there will be a play area and other amenities, but the budget right now only allowed for some grass and trees and benches. The building right behind the cache is the Roth Building, early home of the Palo Alto Medical Clinic. The murals which can be glimpsed through the fencing were considered scandalous at the time, this link will give you some of the history.

11/20/06: As Bob&Elliecat have noted, there is a beautiful old church on the NE corner. That church is featured prominently in the movie Harold and Maude, for those who are interested!
