Geocache Description:

Come to the Plainfield Meet and Greet 11-1:30 on August 25th

I've been threatening to have a meet and greet in Plainfield for the last 8 months, and I've finally got us a spot. We'll be meeting at the Stone Creek Restaraunt in the new Metropolis Shopping center on the east side of Plainfield. They have a loft area we can have to ourselves. We'll start at 11:00AM and go until around 1:30 or so. That will leave lots of time for caching before and after the event.

This restaurant has some excellent food. You can get a burger for $8.50 or spend $20 for a steak. It's up to you. They have lunch portions of their pasta dishes and the full dinner menu will be available. They just won't have baked or mashed potatoes at lunch.

We'll put together the typical raffle with some coins and other caching goodies. Any donations for the raffle will be more than welcome. The southwest and western suburbs of Indianapolis have a ton of caches. There's close to 80 caches within just 5 miles of Stone Creek. The Plainfield Park Challenge is a favorite of some. There are also some challenging puzzles, some Indiana Spirit Quest caches, some other pretty creative caches and one lonely light post cache.

The surrounding towns of Mooresville, Avon, Danville and Brownsburg also offer a lot of opportunities for caching. So come to the Hendricks/Marion/Morgan tri-county area for some good food and good caching. It's about time we all put some faces to those geocaching log in names we are all so familiar with. Posting of a will attend is appreciated as I need to give the restaurant a ballpark head count by the week of the event.
