A series of micros in the woods.
There is nothing easy about this multi cache series of seven in the woods. It consists of six micros and one pot of gold (literally) at the end if you are skilled/lucky enough to be first to find. If you are not FTF but find the final cache you can console yourself with the knowledge that you survived the Agonzier and you have superior geo senses. What you will find if you don’t solve the Agonizer is a beautiful trail that winds along the river as well as follows along a small stream and series of small waterfalls. Bring a camera, there are a number of great photo opportunities.
I have posted the parking coordinates and the trailhead coordinates and that is all the information you will receive. There will be no hint or clue on any stage of this cache until after FTF is made.
There are no tricks, puzzles or internet research that will allow you to complete this multi. This cache is about using your geo senses and seeing if you can think like the cache placer. This is cache #100 placed so at this point I should be fairly predictable (maybe).
A couple of cautions:
1. This series is along the river and a stream. Caution should be used retrieving any of the caches due to proximity to the river/stream as well as loose footing on slick rocks.
2. If it is hunting season you will need to wear blaze orange. There were bird hunters along the trails when the cache was placed.
3. Try to stay on the trails. The blaze marks are difficult to follow but it can be done if you pay attention. If you stay on the trails you will pass near all of the caches. There will be a great temptation to bush whack. No good can come of that.
4. Mark some waypoints. It is easy to get turned around on this series of trails.
5. If it is tick season wear lots of repellant.
6. Available only sunrise to sunset.
I have given you the coordinates for the first cache in the multi. In each cache you will find the coordinates for the next cache as well as one or two numbers. You will need those numbers to locate the final cache (ex. #1 = 4).
To locate the final cache you start with the following:
Number-------- 12.345
Coordinates N43 00.000
Number---------- 67.8910
Coordinates W070 00.000
Updated listing 10/23/09 to reflect higher level of difficulty.
Replaced several caches and moved a few others on 3/27/2010. Updated the coordinates on all of the caches.
Good Luck!
