It's that time of year again... you guessed it, time for another World Wide Flash Mob event!
For those of you who have been geocaching for a while, there's a good chance you attended one of these events in the past. For those of you who are new to the sport, or still have no recollection of what exactly WWFM is, no worries we'll explain!
There will be similar events held simultaneously in cities and towns right across the globe (i.e. World Wide). Unlike a regular geocaching event, this one is short, real short (i.e. Flash Mob).
Schedule of Events:
IMPORTANT: If you get to the area before 2:30 mill about and mosey. Be nonchalant and casual. Look like a muggle tourist! Don't look like a gathering waiting to happen. Mosey as realistically as you can. This is part of the fun. We will seem to appear out of nowhere so that muggles will not know what is going on. The event will be tightly organized with a minute-by-minute itinerary (synchronized with the GPS clock, of course).
2:15 - Arrive in the area
2:30 - A cache container will be placed on the ground at the coordinates to signal the start. Quickly gather around.
2:31 - You will be handed an individual log sheet to sign (bring a pen) and drop in a cache container. The sheets will later become the log book.
2:35 - a meal per cacher to be distributed 2:37 - draw for first to find honors 2:40 - Group photo
2:44 - One minute warning. Prep to leave but don't "look" like you are prepping.
2:45 - Wait for it ... then LEAVE the area as quickly as you gathered. Act like nothing happened.
Meet elsewhere if desired. The log sheet collection box will be packed up and sealed away. The event area will be vacated without a trace. Although participants are welcome to get together for socializing or whatever after the event. Smile at the muggles nearby who will wonder "What did I just see? What just happened?"
Watch the listing for any changes or news about the event.
