This introductory class will teach you the basics of participating in the game of Geocaching - finding hidden caches with a GPS unit. It is being presented to educate the newbie as well as the seasoned cacher in the sport of Geocaching
The program is scheduled to start at the Library Center on South Campbell(coordinates above) at 10 AM sharp.
We will have a PowerPoint presentation, along with sample caches, contents, log books, etc, and whatever we want to display.
Everyone bring an item that you would like to see in a cache. We will be filling an Ammo container with these items and than it will be given away at the picnic.

Throughout Springfield, there is a wide variety of caches to be found including a night cache.
This a looking to be a fun event for Dad & the entire family.
Mark your calendar for June 19th and plan on attending.
We will need the extra GPS's (and different brands) for those that don't own a GPS. We can provide hands on and hand holding as necessary. If you know anyone that has an interest in learning about geocaching, be sure to tell them about this event.
