Där Örgryte gamla kyrka idag ligger uppfördes under 1200-talet en romansk,rektangulär stenkyrka med kor och altare i öster. Kyrkan har sedan vid ett flertal tillfällen genomgått både till- och ombyggnationer för att slutligen få sin nuvarande form i början av 1800-talet. Örgryte gamla kyrka är i dag med sin vackra interiör en av Sveriges mest populära bröllopskyrkor.

Where Örgryte gamla kyrka today lies was during the 13:th Century a Roman square stone church with cross and altar to the East. The church has since then during several occasions gone through both additions and re-buildings to get to today's shape in the beginning of the 19:th Century. Örgryte gamla kyrka is to with its beautiful interiors one of Sweden's most popular wedding churches.
