My first cache, hidden in a forested, sometimes swampy area just south of Columbus, Ohio. Fun, I hope, but possibly not so tough.
Ahoy Landlubbers! If you wish to seek the lost treasure of the Ohio/Erie Canal Pirates, you've come to the right place! Park at N 39 D 48.593 M, W 82 D 58.291 . This area is moderately forested, and swampy in spots, so bring boots you don't mind getting muddy. Also the 'skeeters are out in force, so a little Off couldn't hurt, seein' as how they don't seem to like it much. Once you've found my treasure, sign in the log, and feel free to select an item that suits you. You MUST leave something, however, if you wish to avoid the Pirate's Curse. :ob
The original inventory is as follows:
- CD w/ two Stevie Ray Vaughan tracks
- 2 - 1991 Topps Wacky Packages Stickers
- Army MRE accessory pack
- Bandanna, new and un-soiled
- Kahlua Mudslide button - very stylish
- Yellow Golf Ball - found on site
- Surfboard bottle opener/keychain (be the envy of all)
- Cheesy black cloth die (2 would be dice, I suppose)
- Quarter token from Grand Victoria Casino, Elgin IL
- Jack-O-Lantern Pez dispenser, with candy
You're looking for a ten inch container that looks like Oscar's trash can, in barf green.
Good luck and let me know how it turns out,
Monkey on a Rock
