Une géocache au pied d'un lieu qui apparaît dans
certaines légendes comme les vestiges de l'arche de
Noé. A cache at the foot of a place which appears in certain
legends as the relics of the Noah's Ark.
Le célèbre Rocher de Dabo est un site incontournable
au centre du massif vosgien : à 664 mètres
d’altitude, il offre un panorama exceptionnel sur le plateau
lorrain et la ligne bleue des Vosges aux sommets couverts
d’immenses forêts. Formé il y a plus de 200
millions d’années, cet extraordinaire rocher de
grès rose est surmonté d’une chapelle
néoromane, celle de Saint-Léon. C’est ici que
serait né en 1002, Bruno de Dabo, évêque de
Toul qui fut élu pape en 1048 à l’âge de
46 ans sous le nom de Léon IX. Beaucoup de légendes
courent sur ce lieu. L'une d'elle raconte que ce sont les restes de
l'arche de Noé. ATTENTION/ La cache est une boite en
plastique entourée de scotch brun à ne pas confondre
avec le pot en verre qui se trouve non loin et qui fait partie d'un
autre jeu. ( Nous sommes tombés dessus en cherchant un
endroit pour notre cache)
The famous Rock of Dabo is an inevitable site in the center of
Vosges mountains : in 664 metres in altitude, it gives a special
panorama on the Lorraine tray and the blue line of Vosges in
summits covered with huge forests. Formed more than 200 million
years ago, this extraordinary rock of pink sandstone is overcome of
a neoRoman chapel, the Saint-Léon one. It is here that would
be born in 1002, Bruno de Dabo, bishop of Toul which was elected
pope in 1048 at the age of 46 years under the name of Léon
IX.Many legends are running around this rock. One sid that it's the
relic of the Noah ark. ATTENTION / cache is a plastic box encircled
with brown scotch tape not to be merged with the glassy pot which
is not far and that is part of another game. (We happened by
searching a place for our hiding place)

Et hop, une petite cache alors que les gamins font de la luge un peu plus bas..
La boite, bien planquée, était malgré tout recouverte de environ 1 cm de neige! C'est que le vent a soufflé fort!
