Where East Is West Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

Hoppingcrow: Archiving this one before the winter floods get another chance at taking it out. Had a little problem finding it...seems someone had re-hidden it somewhere other than where I had intended it to be. Does that mean I get to file a find for it? :chuckle: Thanks to everyone who accepted the challenge of finding an offset cache!

Geocache Description:

Please note: coordinates given are not actual cache coordinates! Read the cache description for further details.

No, neither Hoppingcrow nor the compass has gone wonky. When you reach the parking area, you will observe that East is indeed west, down the path and through the woods. I'm talking about East Creek, of course, which is a small stream feeding into the south end of Alder Lake. Space here is limited, so if you are coming in more than two cars, you may wish to park on either side of the Highway 7 bridge near Elbe, a mere quarter mile away. Visitors to this area are likely to be either fishermen or birdwatchers, so if either sport is yours, bring appropriate gear.

When you reach the given coordinates, go on a heading of 000° magnetic (yes, really) for 160 feet and begin looking for an ammo can. Terrain here can be more difficult in season.
