Geocache Description:

The Eisiskes Hillfort is rather an ancient castle site and dates back to the end of 14th Century and the beginning of the 15th.

There was an abandoned castle mentioned in written sources in 1385. Then seemingly the castle was restored as it was mentioned again in 1393, 1429 and 1433.
You'll see the remains of an optic telegraph building in the South West corner of the site. A lonely grave along the western side of the side can be spotted too, someone was buried there recently.
The cache is a small plastic box initially loaded with some coins, an FTF prize (small magnet), ly2kw wooden nickel (anyone can take it - it is my signature item) and a logbook with some pencils. I also dropped off Ivan geocoin here.
Happy hunt.
