Geocache Description:

To find this cache you have to visit first a small church that has been manufactured the tenth century and constitutes one from the older and more beautiful churches of Hellenic space. Unfortunately the church is closed for the visitors and you only can admire it from outside. It constitutes a sample of popular architecture. The cache is in the nearby wide area but its a challenge for you to find the way to approach it.

You can go on foot or use a bicycle or motorcycle because the dirty gravel road is very hard for a normal car. In any way the last 85 metres roughly you should climb up on foot.

The given coordinates have nothing to do with the cache coordinates. You can use them only to find free parking area for visit the little church or the amusement area of 'Alsos Beikou' where there is another cache of mine. Alsos Beikou - (Beikou Park)(GC187QM). To find the first stage of the cache find the coordinates 38°01.734 North,23° 45.816 East where is the entrance of the church courtyard and answer to the following questions :

  1. How many wooden doors has the church. This is number a
  2. How many crosses you can see from this point onto the church. This is number b
  3. How many pine trees you can see from this point into the churche's courtyard. This is number c
  4. The first stage of the cache is at the coordinates :38°01.(a+c)(b)(2a+c) North, 23° 46.(b)(2a)(2c+2b) East.

At the fist stage you will find an encraved phrase that inform you that there were a statue and an altar of Zeus (The king of the ancient Greek gods). At the upper left corner there is a four digit year number (xxxx). The cache is at :38° 01.(2528-xxxx)N, 23° 46.(2115-xxxx)E where xxxx=the encraved 4 digit year number.

The cache is a tupperware box and you can see its initial contents in this photo.

Apart from the FTF award exists also a nice Geocaching pin, gift from us to the first founder of this cache.
