This is a little challenge in the lovely town of Gatesville.
The coordinates to this cache only get you to the spot were you need to be to answer a few questions to get the coordinates to the real treasure! Take a moment to enjoy the beauty of the architecture before rushing off to solve the puzzle.
The cache’s actual coordinates are N 31.25.(C) by W 097.44.(D). In order to find the 3 digit answer to (C) you must;
1. Count the number of cap stones on the wall by the street between the North and the East sidewalk entrances. (Cracked stones count as one piece)
2. Count the number of steps at the North entrance (remember that top one is a landing, not a step).
3. Count the number of names on the War Memorials.
Now use this formula to calculate;
(Cap Stones) x (Number of Steps) = (A)
(A) + (Number of Names) = (B)
(B) + 29 = (C)
In order to find the 3 digit answer to (D) you must;
1. Count the number of steps at the South entrance (remember that top one is a landing, not a step).
Now use this formula to calculate;
(Use the original last 3 digits of the West coordinate that brought you here) + (Number of steps on South Entrance)-1 = (D)
Now one more thing you’re going to need before you punch in those new cords and take off. You would be wise to take note of the year this building was built! It will come in handy when you get to the cache!
