Geocache Description:

Congrats OBCJY, for FTF on a very cold morning!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This cache is meant to take you ALL the way around the hiking trails.Here's one that will take you to the NE Corner of the park. Why not take the full tour? Or, as the theme implies, take the full voyage throughout the park.
What's with the Name of this cache? A little bit of the R.M.S. Titanic history is how I came up with this name: As most folks know, the R.M.S Titanic sank on her Maiden Voyage across the Atlantic on 4-12-1912. She hit an Iceberg, and the "Unsinkable Ship" went down to the bottom of the Atlantic in under 3 hours. When that Fateful Iceberg was spotted by the Look outs and was called into the bridge, the Orders were given for "Full Astern!" and "Hard a Starboard!" The Intent of these orders was to steer clear of the iceberg (turn Left! ~ in Tiller's Terms) and also to slam on the brakes. Now, boats and ships Have no brakes, so the only way to do that (slam on the brakes) is to engage Full Astern/Reverse of the engines.
IMHO, I think the Combination of those two Orders are what caused the Titanic to face her Doomed Fate. Had the crew chosen One or the Other of those orders, Titanic would have lived on to her full life. Hard a Starboard (while keeping Full Ahead) would have maybe steered the Titanic clear of that iceberg. Full Astern (slamming on the brakes... of a Ship) and staying head on with the iceberg would have indeed resulted in a head on Crash. But the Titanic would have survived with only one (maybe two) compartments flooded. Instead, she broadsided the iceberg and flooded more than the 4 compartments allotted that would have kept her a float.Thus, she was lost.
I used a new idea for hiding this cache while thinking about the Titanic.Full Astern is the captain's orders for Full Reverse on a ship. And Reverse is really how I've hidden this cache! I looked at the map first,chose the coords for the cache and set them as a Way Point in my GPSr. Then I went to the Way Point to look for a place to hide the Micro. While I was at GZ, I made sure that I wasn't too near to the RR Tracks or any other caches in the same park. In effect, I went Full Astern to make this Hide. Or...Reverse.
You folks will have the benefit of looking for this one Full Ahead! Or All Ahead Full. The orders on a ship for Full Speed Ahead! Enjoy the Hunt and the hike/voyage that will take you here.
