Geocache Description:

Cailleach a' Bheinne Bhuidhe, or 'The Yellow Hill Old Lade' is a wise old lady who has been keeping watch over her terrain since the Stone Age.

Cailleach a' Bheinne Bhuidhe, or 'The Yellow Hill Old Lade' is a wise old lady who has been keeping watch over her terrain since the Stone Age. From her vantage point atop the Beinne Buidhe (Yellow Hill) she keeps watch over North Lochs, taking in Grimshader, Ranais, Crossbost and Leurbost with a 360 degree panorama across Loch Liurbost (Sea loch) across to South Lochs, the Harris Hills and on a good day, the mainland beyond!

Reaching this cache is relatively straightforward, involving a drive along the infamous Grimshader Road and parking in a passing place next to a gate which allows easy access to the hill (Crossbost Common Grazing) then just a short walk up to the 'Cailleach'!
