This is a Night Cache located in the Green Lake Sunnyside Conservancy along the side of Silver Creek Inlet. This 40+ acre property contains a mixture of woods, shrubs, grasslands and wetlands along several man-made channels. Walking trails extend from the parking area off Lakeview Road, or it may be accessed by boat via Silver Creek Inlet.
Before you get started, you may find it helpful to refer to the related web page and get a bit more familiar with the conservancy area and its boundaries. Very minimal bushwhacking is required to find this cache and most of the journey will be on a well defined trail but watch your footing as you go. Everyone should probably have their own flashlight for seeing where they are stepping. Brighter beams might pick up a tack or two beyond the one you are approaching.
To locate the cache, first follow the main trail east of the parking area to the “Please Start From Here” WP coordinates (approximately .25 mile). From there, turn south off the main trail onto the side trail to locate the beginning of the silver reflective trail of tacks and just follow them through the conservancy area. As you journey through the conservancy area you can expect to encounter some 90 degree turns along the way. Once you see an orange and silver tack placed together, there is no more tacks to follow, but then you’re almost to the cache final. From that location, continue navigating forward slowly approximately 375 feet and keep looking to your right and you’ll soon discover a beacon full of silver, orange and red tacks and that’s where you’ll find the final cache hidden. You'll be looking for a small green lantern at the final WP capable of holding some swag and smaller sized trackables. Have fun and enjoy your journey down the paths to the final. Also keep in mind there is "NO HUNTING ALLOWED" in this conservancy area!
