This area is part of a City of Sioux City Park system for your hiking enjoyment. Lewis and Clark traveled through the area in 1804 and made a camp nearby and was used as a burial site for the only member of the expedition party to pass away and the monument honors Sgt. Floyd. Enjoy the view of the nearby Missouri River plain.
