This is my first cache of many that I will place throughout the downtown Long Beach area.
Because of my Polish heritage, my strong patriotic spirit for the United States, and it being the Fourth of July weekend, this location was an obvious choice.

Ski Demski, Father of the Superflag!

This cache is dedicated to honor "Ski" Demski's life and contributions. See Ski's World.

"Ski" Demski was an amazing person with many contributions made during his lifetime. Some include:
-Father to the Superflag, the world's largest flag
-Contributed to Alcohol Recovery Programs by making a bumper sticker business
-Ran for Mayor of Long Beach on several occasions
-Had 2 audiences with Pope John Paul II
-Did charitable work as "Santa Ski" and other traditional icons for holidays
-Challenged local government often with his passionate patriotism

I had spoken to the owner (at least that's what he told me he was) about the cache, but I think there are several people involved in this home and perhaps they do not communicate well with eachother.

I will check this one out again when I get back in to town.

The DNF's were just about as plentiful as the finds today. We curtailed our search when someone rapped on the window at us from inside the building. Thanks for the cache.

Checking for the cache, resedent saw me and told me to leave. I (eventually) obeyed him. Do the people who live in this building know about the cache?

After 2 great days of grappling with J_Czerwins caches I was hoping to finish with this one. Sadly, my GPS gave up the ghost within minutes....
I'll be back for this one next time I'm in LB along with some of Jays others.
Thanks Jay for some great caches.

Resolved an earlier DNF with a find today. Funny thing happend on the way to the cache. I had to wait for a man and woman walking down the street with a full sized refirigerator.,,,,not on an appliance or movers dolly, but moving it on the little wheels integrated underneath the frame.

Once at the cache, I spot the cache quickly. Log is crisp and all of the entries are neatly printed. I took my time to neatly sign, an returned the cache. As I look up, the couple with the fridge catch are nearing GZ, having traveled two blocks since I passed them Now there is another gentleman helping get the appliance over a stubborn crack in the pavement.
