A fun virtual for the cacher who likes to travel.
Welcome to Los Angeles . . . now go travel!
The coordinates of this virtual cache will take you to a spot
across the street from Los Angeles' famed City Hall where you will
find a sign post indicating the approximate direction and distance
to L.A.'s twenty sister cities.
To successfully complete this cache you must complete each of
the following tasks:
1. Visit the sign post in Downtown Los Angeles.
2. Take your picture in front of the sign. Be sure your GPS is
visible in the photo.
3. Go to a prominent landmark in one of Los Angeles' sister cities
(e.g. famous tourist locations, airports, train stations, etc.). Be
sure that your photo spot proves that you were in the sister city.
Be sure your GPS is visible in the photo.
4. Post your log on this page. Be sure to include both photos and
the coordinates of the place you took your photo. Tell us a little
about your trip to this foreign land! If possible, include hotel,
restaurant or tourist site recommendation in the sister city for
future cachers.
An unlimited number of cachers may visit the same sister city,
but you must include a photo from a different spot than another
cacher.
Have fun, safe travels, and godspeed!

November 9 by mjurna (439 found) It took almost a half year to complete this cache, but finally I did. The photo of the sister city pole is very bad, because we discovered on our way back to the hotel that this nice pole was part of a cache, so i also add the picture during day, without me. The sister city I visited is Giza and instead of showing the big pyramids I show the Djosser pyramid more in the south. One of the first pyramids built. TFTC

| October 18 by birdcachers05 (1891 found) We went out to Van Nuys/Encino then into Los Angeles to work on some of the Virtuals we are trying to gather to make our 200 Virtuals and 2000th cache next year in Hawaii. We started at the Garden of Water and Fragrance and Man Made but Wild, then headed over to Los Encinos. We ate lunch at Phillipe's in China Town, then found Challenger Memorial, had our picture taken for the first phase of Sister Cities, then finished off the day with a tour of downtown LA for City of Angeles. Picture taken for Phase I of this Virtual.... Plans are being made to complete Phase II... to be continued.....

| August 31 by gmaninsb (336 found) We had read about this cache and were driving around downtown when we saw the signs and we realized we had found a cache. Pretty funny. Took the requisite photo. We just returned from a visit to Vancouver where we were caching in Stanley Park. It's a very beautiful park that is worth visiting. The hotel we stayed at was very nice and well located. (visit link) Will post pictures shortly. TFTC
