Where: Lower Cascade Lake, Donner Summit
When: 3:00 pm till the last dirtbag hits the sack!
Stay the night, or just stop by for a few hours. The choice is yours. Hot dogs, smores and a big pile of firewood will be provided! This event will happen rain or shine, so bring your warm clothes and be prepared for some cool fall weather. With a high clearance 4x4 you can park right at GZ. Those with 2wd vehicles can park at the given waypoint and hike in, (about .5 miles) Or catch a free ride on the KILLA SHUTTLE, which will be running from 3:00 to 6:00. BYOB and food. If you plan on staying the night don't forget to bring a sturdy shelter (tent, car, etc.) and a very warm sleeping bag.
The temperatures this time of year can drop well below freezing, SO BE PREPARED! Please let me know in your 'will attend' logs if you will be needing a ride from the KILLA SHUTTLE, so I know how many people to expect. If this event sounds too gnarly, by all means stay on the couch. It's a KILLA cache, WHAT DID YOU EXPECT?!
