THE STORY:
Lanny and Coe were just enjoying a nice spring afternoon bike ride when Lanny looked into the woods and saw the man.
At first, nothing looked out of the ordinary; he just saw a man in the woods huddled over something. But just when he was about to continue on, he took a second glance and what he saw, caused him to slam on the brakes.
Coe noticed his older brother had stopped and was staring off into the woods, he turned to follow his gaze.
The man was stuffing "something" into... what was that thing? As he dropped the item into the hidden compartment, he looked around to see if anyone was watching. Lanny and Coe positioned themselves so they couldn't be seen. Finally, the man closed the lid and took off deeper into the woods.
Lanny and Coe stood frozen for a moment. Then they both moved. Coe moved on, Lanny started for the woods.
Coe turned, saw his brother heading for the object, and got worried.
"Lanny come on... Leave it be!"
"I just want to take a peek."
Coe lamented this decision all the way. But even he went silent as they stood over it. Lanny, wordlessly, reached down and gave the top of the "container" a lift, it swung open, and both boys gasped!
