ATTENTION ALL CACHERS!

Are the short days and cold weather getting you a bit down? Not getting as much caching in as you'd like? Do you want a place to warm up and hang out with your fellow cachers? If you answered yes to any of those questions, come on out and join your fellow geocachers and other interesting characters by attending the ever popular and rarely duplicated SLAGA Winter Potluck and Cabin Fever!

For many years in the past, this event was held at the old Grant Shelter in Jefferson Barracks Park, with it bouncing to a couple of other spots here and there when the need arose. This year, though, we’re bringing it to what will hopefully be the event's next long-term home, The Pavilion at Lemay! This brand-new 42,000 square foot facility has a gymnasium, kitchen facilities, and other amenities that will make this event very comfortable for attendees.
***PLEASE NOTE***
Dogs are not allowed in the facility, so please plan accordingly.

What will you find and experience at this event? Well, you’ll find camaraderie, exchanging and sharing of trackables, geocaching stories, games, a raffle and maybe a surprise or two! How can you go wrong? Heck, there might even be some new caches placed for the event!

Wait…I forgot to mention one of the most important things to a geocacher! Food! Since this is a potluck, attendees will provide all food. You can count on a wonderful variety of delicious items…main dishes, side dishes, salads, cookies and desserts. SLAGA will provide the plates, silverware, napkins, condiments, etc. When you log your "Will Attend" please include a head count as well as what food item(s) you plan to bring. We will update this page with the growing menu!

Speaking of food, in the spirit of giving back to the community, we will have a drop-off spot for those wanting to donate canned goods for a local food pantry. We will take the donated food to the pantry after the event.

As in years past, St. Louis County Parks has graciously provided this facility to use at absolutely no cost. Part of this deal means that we have to set up the tables and chairs AND take them all down at the end of the day.

The main goal of this event is to focus on fellowship, reacquainting ourselves with old caching friends and getting to know new (or prospective) cachers. As such, it’s open to geocachers and those interested in geocaching as well. All are encouraged to attend! If you haven't attended a geocaching event yet, give it a try! People around this neck of the woods are some of the finest you'll ever meet! Let’s not forget that this is also an awesome opportunity to invite local land managers or parks department personnel to come out for some food and friendship. It's a nice time for them to meet local cachers, as well as a token of our appreciation for letting us play in their parks.

Begin registration, setup food, sell 50/50 tickets and raffle tickets, check in TB's and geocoins, bring in raffle items and begin the games.
