Geocache Description:

****ACCESSIBLE ONLY BY BOAT, CANOE, KAYAK OR SWIMMING****

This is a small cache. Its approximately 3"x5" and is located off the ground. Check out the Petroglyphs on the ledges by the river and please leave them as you've found them.

This area along the banks of the Kennebec River was once home to Native Americans. This was an active archeological dig site some years ago. There is no more active digging, however, the site is on a list to be named as a National Historic site and they want ABSOLUTELY no ground disturbances. Please, please observe this rule!! The cache is located off the ground specifically for this reason. Please hide the cache well in the same spot as the spoiler should do it for most folks. I'll also upload some pics.
