Story:

This is the story of Tracy from Canada and Johannes from Germany, who met in the US - quite international. The first time we met, we both attended a training at a discipleship center of Eastern Mennonite Missions (EMM). This was back in 1995 and took place in the state where the first picture was taken (Tracy is the one on the left, Johannes the one right beside her, both waving). The first clue is the state this picture was taken in. If you cannot figure it from the image, you might as well look up the location of EMM Headquaters.

One year later (1996) we met again, while Tracy visited Johannes in a mountainous area (see second picture), where the grass is really blue... Second clue is the state where they met.

One year later, we met again at the Mennonite Youth Convention 1997. Tracy came all the way from NY and Johannes from IN. But where did we meet? The third picture will give you the clue.

Today (10 years later) we met again in 2007 right here in ... (forth clue).

It was our first day geocaching and a great reunion. So we decided to top it off by setting out a cache. So we did.
You can calculate the position as follows: Put all the states in alphabetical order. Then find the position of the four states mentioned above and add these numbers. Then add this number to the digits after the point of the minutes of: N 47° 37.212' and W 122° 20.821' There you will find an international coin cach. It initially has some Euros from different countrys, some Swiss coins and some US cents in there. If you take one out, please put one in as well. There always have to be coins from at least 3 different countrys in there. Please do not enter any restricted areas. You also do not have to enter an area, which you need a ticket for.

You can check your answers for this puzzle on Geochecker.com.

#3031 found 12/31/09 at 10:40am. Did a little creative parking and made a run for this one. It's a 10 year reunion of sorts for us, too -- 10 years since we were in Seattle on New Year's. We enjoyed this fun mystery cache. Happy 2010 and THANKS!

After triple checking my calculations and then reading the hint, I'm 99.9% sure that I was in the right place. I tried darting in and out between passerby but, after a couple of minutes I abandoned stealth altogether and went groping around. Considering it's been almost 3 months since anyone logged this and the fact that a very nearby spot has become a depository for litterbugs, I can't help but wonder if this thing is still there.
