Team Wallace: it has been a good run, but I think it is time to give this one up.

Geocache Description:

Located on an island in Lake Keechelus, but you can walk there.

Cache elevation is 2546ft

12 April 2003 - Be advised that the water level in the lake varies wildly with the season. Spring and early summer you may benefit from the services of a boat or other serious flotation device. Other times, you may be able to walk from the boat ramp with minimal soakage. Access from the Eastbound I-90 truck pullout is also feasible. Either way, have fun!

If you park near the boat ramp, it is a short (about .25 mile) hike or bike ride across the lake bottom. You'll want to leave your bike (or boat) once you get to the island as the climb is quite steep. You may want to bring extra shoes for wading through the creek/stream/river (depending on season).

Penny the dog loved it! Ashley (6 yrs old) went with us on this one, so it's not too tough!

While you're at it, don't miss Stuffed with Fluff!
