Geocache Description:

After the Calaveras County, Sonora to Milton stage was robbed in 1883, a Charles Bolton of 37 Thirty-ninth Street in San Francisco was arrested (just blocks from the Wells Fargo Headquarters) based on the evidence of a laundry mark on a handkerchief dropped at the scene. Surprisingly, what they found was a dapperly dressed older man.

It seems like the profession runs in the family. Although the time of the stage was long gone, his great great grandson, also named Charles, carried on the family business, this time in Pleasanton.

Charles, brandishing an antique original black-handle Smith and Wesson Magnum handgun, had just cornered a gaggle of cachers headed to the latest BADGES event. WalruZ, being either the bravest or most fool-hearty of the bunch, approached to marvel at the antique weapon up close and personal. "You wouldn't shoot us with that thaing? Do they even make bullets of that caliber any more?", WalruZ exclaimed. With that, Charles vamoosed with a sack full of GPSrs.

This happened just one hundred and twenty one years after the arrest of his ancestor. This Charles was also about the same age as great-grandpappy at about fifty-three when he got caught. He had made it to seventh street when Pleasanton's finest caught up with the antique roadster.

It turns out that the cop was more interested in the classic wheels than helping to retrieve the stolen GPSrs. When the cop cornered Bart, he asked, "what year is that black beauty".

The cache is not at the posted coordinates.

Please excuse the liberties I have taken with history.
