A couple miles into the past to a remote wilderness location. This is not for the faint-hearted. The way starts good and ends very bad. Perhaps I was a bit ambitious in placing my first cache. It was definately a strain on my relationship and dangerous for the dog. Please don't let the sun set on you out there. It took us two hours one-way. The way back is easier, as it is downhill.
The cache is contained in an army surplus missle container (approximately 32" X 3.5"). Although I washed this thing out thoroughly do not put any food products in it. Also, items must be smaller than 3.5" in diameter.
The cache contains:
- 1 cat toy,
- 1 copy of selected passages from Friedrich Nietzshe's
"Thus Spoke Zarathurstra",
- 1 plastic lizard,
- 1 plastic amphibian of unknown type,
- 1 black obsidian faux-Olmec head,
log book,
- a bag of Spanish dublooms.
Check out the area if you still have the energy. There's all kinds of evidence of use from earlier last century and a cave somewhere that I've never bothered to locate.
My girlfriend swears no one will ever go out there to find this. I told her someone would within the year. Prove me right.
