Geocache Description:

Middle Tennessee Council, Treasures of Scouting: Cache to Cub Scouts

For 100 years, the Boy Scouts of America has helped youth become more than they ever thought possible. And we’ll continue that journey into the next century.

The Cub Scout program in the US began in 1930 and currently is open to boys in 1st through 5th grades. This Cub Scouts offers fun and challenging experiences that inspire confidence and teach important values. Cub Scout geocaching is an important addition to the Scout program. This cache is designed with the Cub Scout and other young children in mind. Please leave appropriate toys and "swag" for young people of all programs.

This park is home to the Cub Scout Day Camp. This is an opportunity for the scouts to work on advancements, sports and academic belt loops and pins, and activity pins. DO NOT APPROACH THIS ONE BY CLIMBING DOWN THE HILL, PARK AT THE PARKING COORDINATES.

The container holds scout and camping related trade items including unique patches. There is no reason to walk up the hill or move anything. The tree cover may have affected coordinates, check the hint if stuck. Stay clear of the stream.

In addition to Cache to Cub Scouts, we’ve hidden four other caches highlighting Scouting programs. Find all five! Search MTCBSA, Treasures of Scouting on Geocaching.com.
