Geocache Description:

Take this beautiful nature walk several times. Make sure you see it in the summer and spring when is greenest. See the fall colors in the breeze and see the beauty of white snow in the winter along this awesome trail. This may be the most beautiful nature trail you will ever see in your life. This is one to take your family and friends on. Come in a storm and in the rain. You will be amazed.

See what a real stream looks like from under the water without getting wet. Look at live fish, eye to eye, and see what the bottom and inside edges of a real stream look like as the wildlife see it.

This two step multi-cache involves walking a level paved one mile round trip that is not only beautiful, but very instructive about the ways and needs of nature. As you move from Step 1 to Step 2, you can pass through the stream profile described in the above paragraph.

PARKING is free but it can be crowded on the weekend.

DOGS are allowed to take the nature trail on a leash but they are not allowed to enter the Stream Profile.

STAY ON THE TRAIL. There is no reason you have to leave the trail to complete this geocache. Please respect this beautiful but fragile environment by not stepping on the greenery, anywhere.

STEP 1: Go to the above coordinates. They take you to a viewing platform overlooking a beautiful meadow. Read the amazing facts about this meadow. Find out about how many years ago this meadow was part of Lake Tahoe.

STEP 2:
What are you standing on?
If wood, go to N 38° 56.097 W 120° 03.162.
If tile, go to N 38° 56.171 W 120° 03.282.
If dirt, go to N 38° 56.971 W 120° 03.292.
If metal, go to N 38° 56.021 W 120° 03.382.
If grass, go to N 38° 56.179 W 120° 03.212.
If rock, go to N 38° 56.971 W 120° 03.082.
If gravel, go to N 38° 56.161 W 120° 03.282.

But take your time. Continue south along the nature path to get to your final coordinates. Stop at the bridge overlooking the turn of the creek. The fish are easy to see in the clear water. Walk further into the fish profile building and immerse yourself in the pond and instructive displays.

See many other instructive displays along the trail as well as magnificant beauty and love.

The path will eventually take you to the cache and then the parking lot.
