Cache is close to trail. No need to trample any grass.
TRAIL RULES:
Because Rowe is a wildlife sanctuary, they ask that no hunting, fishing, and camping occur on sanctuary ground, and dogs and horses are not allowed on trails.
Rowe Sanctuary's mission is to conserve the Platte River ecosystems for sandhill cranes and other wildlife through conservation and education.
The 6 miles of trails offer excellent wildlife and botanical viewing opportunities. The Cudaback Trail meanders along the Platte River through tallgrass prairie, then heads onto the Triplett Trail surrounded by shrubs and small trees before it enters a narrow band of woods and seasonal wetlands. The Pondering Trail takes you along cropland, seasonal wetlands and wooded areas. You are welcome to stop into the viewing blinds and enjoy the river view.
While your in the neighborhood be sure to visit the Iain Nicolson Audobon Center and gift shop. Also visit their web site for great information, pictures, web cam and opportunities to get involved.
Congratulations to gyouareyou and lyric.soprano for being the first to find this cache on August 27, 2014.
