This cache has been archived.

Prime Reviewer: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

One of many caches in the brand new East Metropolitan Park, the easternmost park of the Travis County Parks system. This park is located near our home and is our recreational facility. It has only been open since June 3, 2006. There are 273 acres marked off for this park but only one phase is currently open for hiking and other activities -- PLEASE respect the signage in the park restricting access.

Open 7 days a week, the park hours are:

May 1 - Sept. 15, 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM
Sept. 16- Oct. 31, 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Nov. 1 - Feb. 28, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Mar. 1 - Apr. 30, 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Have you ever camped out near pond like the one at this location? Have you ever shut out all the lights and just listened to the songs that the frogs make at night? Its such an interesting sound. Here's to hoping that this pond at some point is home to many frogs who sing their froggie song!

In case you haven't figured it out yet, this is a frog/pond themed cache. Please try your very best to swap things that "fit" with the theme. Original contents are frogs of various forms, several fishing lures, a fishing bobber and "Pond of Wandering Frogs" Frog #19. See the picture below. (Please keep the fishing lures separate from the rest of the toys -- their oils 'melt' the plastic toys.)
