After three trips down to replace the original fern gully, I finally got a clue, IT'S TOO VULNERABLE! In my attempt to make it accessible to all, I also made it accessible to muggles. I thought the camo would be enough to keep it safe, but I guess I was wrong. Now it is a question of, how bad do you want it? Because while many will venture to the waterfall, few will venture beyond. If you want it, you will have to do some rock climbing up slippery faces with few handholds, oh yea, and lets not forget to avoid that poison oak which is about as prolific as I have seen it. It can all be done if your careful. Please don't go alone, a nasty fall with nobody to help you is not what I want. I offer this to you as a personal challenge only if you feel confident in your ability. This is a heavily wooded canyon and cell phone reception is minimal at best. But, above the falls I had decent reception and feel my coords will get you close. I have enclosed a photo of the cache site, plus one of the falls you will be going up. The falls today were flowing about as heavy as I ever remember them. Good luck! UPDATE 6/18/06 Went and verified that cache was missing. Took along new container, without the old camo, and hid it further above the falls. Please see photo for cache location, as reception was terrible. UPDATE 12/27/13
In order to log this as a find, you must actually visit the cache location. Bringing a group of people to sit on the rocks below while one person climbs to the top, is not finding the cache. From this point on anyone found to have not made it to the actually cache location, will have their log deleted.
