Geocache Description:

A letterbox hybrid hidden in Ringhaver Park. The listed coordinates will only take you to the parking lot - you have to follow the clues to get to the actual container.

Letterboxing, an old English pasttime of exchanging stamp impressions, has come to Jacksonville's Westside. Follow these clues to find the container you seek.

Just past the playground is a small pavilion, and the start of the orange/blue trail. Follow the pavement through the forest, and over the boardwalk. When blue splits on its own, you'd do best to follow blue's path. When the trail splits again, follow it up to the wooden walk. On your right side, count seven posts; to double check yourself, its the third double bolt set on the highest wooden level. When at this spot, under your feet is the box.

Inside the box is a small log book/sketch pad and a special hand-carved stamp related to the area. If you have your own stamp, please stamp in to the letterbox's log; if not, you're welcome to simply sign in. If you have your own book, stamp an impression of the box's stamp (you'll have to bring your own ink pad.) Trading is not necessary in this box, but if you must leave something please make sure its small and the box can close completely.

LEAVE THE STAMP IN THE BOX - IT IS MEANT TO STAY THERE FOR OTHERS TO STAMP THEIR PERSONAL LOGBOOKS TO HAVE PROOF OF THEIR VISIT. More information on letterboxing and its customs can be found at The North American Letterboxing website.

Please make sure you attach the lid securely and completely to the box when rehiding, and that the box is safely and securely placed back in its hiding spot, so that it will stay put for future finders.
